Soundcloud To Pay Artists More Fairly

As you know, the music industry is full of people who deserve rectal cancer for their sleaze, theft and incompetence. Music today sucks because the shit scum that runs the music industry have rigged the system. In fact. new music is so bad that radio stations won't even play it.

Today's music can best be described as rancid ketchup on silicon chips. When the best artists today are Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga you know it sucks.

When an artist signs with a label he'll get fucked and if he goes indie and acts ethically his music will get buried because their is a glut of shit being passed of as music and the sleazy bastards promoting it are using stream farms to bump up their numbers and rip off the advertisers.

Check out Soundcloud's new deal and see what you think. It may be more industry fuckery or it might be the real deal.

The music industry is infested with more scum than a Trump rally.

Is Soundcloud one of the good guys? Probably not but perhaps they are acting a bit better but who knows? The only services that don't see to get panned by artists are Distro Kid and Band Camp.

Here are some related articles. Keep in mind that some may be guerrilla marketing by the distribution companies such as sleazy Tunecore and full of lies.

More equitable artist payments are coming

Today we're introducing fan-powered royalties — a fairer and more transparent way for artists to earn money on SoundCloud. Under this game-changing model, we are leveling the playing field for independent artists and allowing fans' dedicated listenership to directly support the artists they love.

With fan-powered royalties, money made from listeners goes directly to the artists they listen to. This equitable payout model is what independent artists across the industry have been asking for, and as an artist-first platform, we're excited to be the first music company to roll it out.

Fan-powered royalties go into effect April 1, 2021 for our Pro Unlimited subscribers in the Premier monetization program and Repost by SoundCloud artists, including those in Repost Select. Learn how it all works here.

Black and Blue Surf Dog and Heavy Waves From CG Instrumental

This is a surf rock tune inspired by the band's love of dogs and the Led Zeppelin song Black Dog and the fact that dogs love surfing. CG Instrumental composes many types of instrumental music including jazz and classical. The driving bass really powers this song!

Surfamatic and Surfer Slut. This one has lyrics.

    Why This Blog

Along with jazz, instrumental surf rock is ignored by the music industry. The creators of modern surf music are a noble bunch of very passionate musicians who are preserving this truly American art form. If you are not familiar with the genre please take the time to check it out and give it listen.

Surf music is cool but not in a hipster sort of way. It's cool like jazz and bluegrass music. I was first introduced to modern instrumental surf music when I heard some CDs by a band called Voodoo Court featuring guitar slinger Mark Kuhn. Holy shit was I blown away! Like a lot of music fans I had grown bored with the uninspired cookie cutter crap that began coming out in the mid 2000's.

The people who produce and share instrumental surf music do it as a labor of love but I think they deserve a larger fan base and a place of their own so that their music doesn't get lost in the glut of crap on the streaming services. Surf musicians are invited to have their streams embedded on this site. They are also encouraged to promote this site and help spread instrumental surf music.
